What is AWS Marketplace?

AWS Marketplace is Amazon Web Services’ digital catalog and procurement channel for third-party software, data, and services that run on AWS. Customers can discover, trial, and buy solutions with consolidated AWS billing, while vendors sell using flexible pricing and Private Offers, often allowing buyers to apply existing cloud commitments.

For buyers, it streamlines procurement with consolidated billing, metering/entitlements, tax handling, and Private Offers (including CPPO with partners). For SaaS vendors, it becomes a revenue channel that taps pre-approved cloud budgets and reduces legal/procurement friction so deals close faster.

Step 1

Partner Enablement

Be “marketplace-ready” in days, not months. Seller account, tax, and payouts configured so publishing and payments won’t stall.

This is the commercial foundation AWS needs to recognize you as a seller, settle funds, and display your offers. Rushing this is the #1 cause of downstream delays (payout holds, re-verification, listing rejection).

  • AWS Marketplace seller registration and identity verification complete.
  • Tax & payout profiles set (bank account/Hyperwallet with entity alignment).
  • Seller policies and support contacts declared.
  • Company brand and profile finalized.
  • Offer strategy drafted (SaaS vs. AMI/container/data with target regions and buyer segments).

Step 2

Marketplace Enablement

A compelling, review-ready listing that supports Private Offers and CPPO that is positioned for enterprise discovery and procurement.

This turns your product into a transactable offer buyers can actually find and buy on AWS rails and sets you up to negotiate custom terms via Private Offers or through partners via CPPO.

  • Offer definition (SaaS/AI Agent), plans, entitlements, and pricing model (usage-based, subscriptions, contracts, hybrids).
  • Listing content (positioning, value proof, images, compliance notes) optimized for AWS buyers.
  • Private Offer playbook (discount tiers, term options, ramp payments, EULA variants).
  • CPPO readiness (authorize partners, margin constructs, co-sell motion).
  • EDP/PPA alignment guidance (when Marketplace spend can apply to commits; how to position with the AWS account team).

Step 3

Marketplace Transactability

You’re fully transactable: buyers can subscribe, provision, meter, invoice, and renew on AWS rails with no custom build required.

This is where operational reality meets revenue. We connect your product to AWS commerce services (SaaS fulfillment, entitlement, optional metering) and brand the journey so you can scale, co-sell with partners via CPPO, and, where applicable, help customers burn down EDP/PPA.

  • Stactize Publisher Portal supports your zero-development onboarding.
  • SSO enabled via Microsoft Entra ID.
  • Full subscription lifecycle integrated.
  • Entitlement & (if needed) metering wired for accurate usage and license control.
  • Orchestration templates available for tailored scenarios.
  • Branded buyer journey with unlimited customer signups supported.
  • Preview & test transactions completed and offer moved to transactable status with first Private Offer issued.
  • Partner-attached CPPO checklist documented for SI/MSP motions.
