Google Cloud Marketplace – Deal Checklist

  1. How does the customer prefer to buy?
  2. If on Google Cloud Marketplace, do they plan to buy at list price or via a private offer?
  3. If via Private Offers in Partner Portal, does the customer have a contact with appropriate billing admin or viewer permissions?
    • Often a customer has multiple billing IDs, so make sure they have the right permissions for the intended billing account.
  4. Does your customer know their Google Cloud billing ID?
  5. Is the customer comfortable with the Google Cloud Marketplace Terms of Service they’ll agree to when making the purchase?
  6. Is the customer comfortable with the click-through end-user license agreement (EULA) or do you need to negotiate and provide a custom one?
  7. Is the customer requesting the contract start at an earlier date than the actual start date referenced on the contract?
    • GCP does is unable to backdate.
  8. Does the customer intend to purchase hardware or services?
    • These are not supported via Google Cloud Marketplace today.
  9. Does the customer request a different SKU, flavor of service, or billing configuration than what you currently offer on the Google Cloud Marketplace?
