Next day invoicing for Microsoft Customer Agreement (MCA) customers

Next day invoicing for Microsoft Customer Agreement (MCA) customers

Starting September 2025, Microsoft is introducing next day invoicing for certain marketplace products. This change affects how and when you receive invoices for specific product types purchased through Azure Marketplace and Microsoft commercial marketplace.

Next day invoicing applies to products with the following pricing models:

  • SaaS per seat and flat rate
  • Professional services
  • Azure managed app flat fees
  • Power BI visuals
  • Dynamics 365 apps on Dataverse and Power Apps

Products with metered (usage-based) pricing, VM software reservations, or Azure container offers will continue to use monthly invoicing.

How next day invoicing works:

When you purchase a product with next day invoicing enabled:

  • You will receive an invoice within 24 hours of product purchase.
  • Each day’s purchases will be consolidated into a single invoice.
  • Your payment terms start from the invoice date.
  • For SaaS products with both entitlement (flat rate) and metered/usage components, the entitlement portion will be billed next day while the metered portion continues to be billed monthly.
  • If you cancel a product that has next day invoicing within your eligible refund window, your credit/refund will be processed on your next monthly invoice.
  • On product renewals within next day invoicing scope, invoices will be generated within 24 hours of the renewal date.
