What is Azure Marketplace?

Azure Marketplace is Microsoft’s enterprise storefront for discovering, evaluating, buying, and deploying third-party solutions that run on Azure with consolidated billing and standardized entitlement.

Buyers can transact your SaaS with consolidated Azure billing, use Private Offers (custom pricing and terms), and when eligible apply spend toward their Microsoft Azure Consumption Commitment (MACC). Sellers unlock co-sell and partner-attached deals via Multiparty Private Offers (MPO) and can scale globally without building new billing and tax stacks.

Note: Microsoft is consolidating Azure Marketplace and AppSource into the new Microsoft Marketplace. Your offer and MACC benefits continue to work through the Azure purchase path.

MPO

Multiparty Private Offers let you and a partner sell together with custom pricing and terms.

So how do we get into
Azure Marketplace?

In 3 easy steps

1. Partner Enablement

  1. Microsoft Partner registration, verification and setup
  2. Commercial marketplace activation, payout and tax profile setup
  3. Program alignment: ISV Success and Microsoft AI Cloud Partner Program
  4. Define listing goals and prepare the readiness checklist

2. Marketplace Enablement

  1. Listing creation (offer type, plans and entitlements, pricing)
  2. Go to market plan and messaging that resonates with Azure buyers
  3. Co-sell enrollment
  4. Private Offers creation, review and publish

3. Transact on Marketplace

  1. Zero development onboarding via the Stactize Publisher Portal
  2. Single sign on and full subscription lifecycle integration
  3. Custom branded user journey with unlimited customer signups
  4. End to end orchestration so you can get paid on Microsoft commerce rails

Step 1

Partner Enablement

Be “marketplace-ready” in days, not months. Partner Center, legal, and payouts/tax fully set so nothing blocks publishing or payments

This step lays the commercial foundation so Microsoft can recognize you as a seller, pay you, and expose your offers for co-sell. Skipping or rushing this stage is the #1 cause of later delays (e.g., payout holds, tax mismatches, missing program eligibility).

  • Microsoft Partner registration confirmed and Partner Center access verified for the right tenants.
  • Microsoft Marketplace prerequisites completed, including payout and tax profiles (per seller ID/program).
  • Legal agreements accepted with business profile finalized (names, addresses, banking consistency).
  • Program alignment: ISV Success and Microsoft AI Cloud Partner Program mapped to your goals.
  • Listing & co-sell requirements checklist approved (including offer type, target geos, intended buyer segments).

Step 2

Marketplace Enablement

A compelling listing that can pass Microsoft review, enter co-sell, and support Private Offers, positioned to leverage MACC where eligible.

This step turns your product and packaging into a transactable offer buyers can actually find and purchase on Microsoft’s rails. It also unlocks co-sell exposure and Private Offers so enterprise dealmaking can start.

  • Offer definition (SaaS/AI Agent), plans, entitlements, and pricing model (flat-rate, user-based, metered).
  • Listing content (positioning, value proof, images, compliance notes) optimized for Microsoft-first buyers.
  • Co-sell enrollment & verification completed (solution details, customer evidence, benefits mapped).
  • Private Offer readiness: processes and templates for customer-specific pricing/terms with private plans configured.
  • MACC path documented: confirm when/where the offer can decrement MACC and the correct purchase flow in Azure portal.

Step 3

Marketplace Transactability

You’re fully transactable: buyers can buy, provision, meter, invoice, and renew on Microsoft’s rails with no custom build required.

This is where operational reality meets revenue. We wire your product into Microsoft’s commerce services (fulfillment, entitlement, metering) and brand the journey so you can sell at scale, co-sell with partners via MPO, and (when eligible) help customers burn down MACC.

  • Stactize Publisher Portal supports your zero-development onboarding.
  • SSO enabled via Microsoft Entra ID.
  • Full subscription lifecycle integrated.
  • Metering and usage events wired where applicable.
  • Orchestration templates available for tailored scenarios.
  • Branded buyer journey with unlimited customer signups supported.
  • Preview & test transactions completed and offer moved to transactable status with first Private Offer issued.
  • Partner-attached motion documented (when relevant) with Multiparty Private Offers (MPO) checklist.
